What signers see
Each recipient signs from their own private link. They need no account.
Open the invitation
The invitation email holds a link to the signing page. It shows the document title and who the request is for. If an earlier recipient has not signed yet, the page says Waiting for your turn. and Check status refreshes it.
Confirm the email address
Before anyone can view or sign, they prove they can read the invited mailbox:
- Choose Email me a code.
- Enter the six-digit code from the separate verification email and choose Verify code.
Review and sign
- Read every page of the document. Each field for this recipient is outlined on its page.
- Under Your fields, type a full name into each signature field and fill any text or date fields. The typed name is what Inkwell places into the PDF.
- Tick the consent box: I have reviewed this document and consent to electronic signatures. I intend my entries to be my legally binding signature.
- Choose Sign document.
The page then shows Your signature has been recorded. When everyone has signed, the same link offers Download executed PDF and Download certificate.
Keep the link private
The invitation link grants access to that signing request. Recipients should not forward it. If an invitation expires or the envelope is voided, the page says so and the recipient should ask the sender for a new one.
